The original Burns husky started as a simple sketch of our childhood companion Tasha, designed over 40 years ago. He brought it to life again as one of those iron silhouettes, a piece I’ve had hanging ever since it was given to me when I went out on my own. When he lost his cancer battle i had it Eternally inked on my arm. That husky has watched over me through every chapter, a quiet guardian of the family legacy.
Over the years, I’ve carried that same spark forward — recreating the husky in multiple mediums as personal one-offs: a 24×24 etching in mirror that hung proud at dads hunt camp, wood carvings, and more. Each was a private tribute, never meant for the world. But something shifted when I picked up a brush. The paintings poured out — raw, nostalgic, full of the chaos and humor. They’re not just art; they’re memories remixed, characters caught off the clock, frozen in moments that feel like home. That’s how BURNS™ was born — not as a brand, but as a living extension of everything my father started and everything I’ve carried since.
